Keith has been with the airline for 40 years and has extensive sales experience across Corporate, TMC and Consumer channels.

Chris Rankin, Head of Consumer Sales for UK & Ireland, said: “I am delighted to have someone of Keith’s experience to manage our operation in Ireland. We have an exciting time ahead of us. Later this year our flights at Heathrow will move to our flagship Terminal 5, cutting connection times by 30 minutes.

“Our business in Ireland has grown significantly since we started operating flights from Belfast and Dublin to London Heathrow and Keith will play a crucial role in driving our success in the coming months.”

BA is also making changes to its group bookings service in Ireland: “For the past 12 years, British Airways has engaged the services of Dateridge to provide group booking services. As part of a reorganisation, British Airways has decided to take the group bookings in-house. Dateridge will continue to provide services to British Airways for a further four months. Accordingly, the contract with Dateridge will come to an end on 31st July 2014.

“British Airways enjoys a strong customer base of agency partners and corporate clients. There will be no change in the service provided to our partners as a result of the reorganisation and British Airways remains committed to reinforcing and maintaining relationships going forward.”
