Volker Lorenz to Leave Amadeus

Volker Lorenz is leaving Amadeus at the end of this month after more than 12 years as General Manager for Ireland. He said: “This hasn’t been an easy decision to make, but I know you’ll be well looked after by the highly experienced local team, as well as thanks to additional support from Champa Magesh, Managing Director for Amadeus UK & Ireland.

“I have thoroughly enjoyed working with so many of you during a time that has witnessed the growth in development and usage of Amadeus travel technology to become a critical success factor, whether you are operating in the retail, online or business travel arenas.

Champa Magesh, Managing Director, Amadeus UK & Ireland.

“I am especially proud of the local Irish team and how we have developed long-standing relationships – friendships in many cases – with so many customers and trade partners due to our commitment to the local market, as well as our award-winning service and solutions.

“However, I feel the time is now right for me to open a new chapter in my life and career and I will be leaving the business at the end of June.”

The Irish Travel Trade News team wishes Volker well for the future.
