Jonathan Jones, Director of Tourism and Marketing, Visit Wales, gave an update presentation on current events and projects, including the new Welsh Coast path, which will be launched in May this year. The path has taken six years to build and cost €21 million. It will stretch for 870 miles, from Chepstow in the south to Queensferry in the north. It is the first continuous path running around the coast of any country in the world and it is estimated that it will take more than 70 days to walk from end to end.

Cardiff’s Millennium stadium will also feature in the Olympic Games in July. Wales welcomed 200,000 Irish visitors last year and they spent €58 million while there.
