Italy and India Cycle Tours with Explore

Are clients looking for cycling tours with a difference? Explore’s easy graded Puglia on Two Wheels is an eight-day tour visiting Italy combining cycling with fine food. 

 

The tour takes participants along quiet provincial roads, allowing time to stop off and sample some of the local delicacies and wines from the region. They will explore Alta Murgia National Park, where there is a chance to discover Castel del Monte, a 13th century castle, and visit the famous ancient ‘sassi’ troglodyte town of Matera, travel along the Adriatic coastline and wander through the quaint whitewashed village of Alberobell.

Tours depart in September and October 2014, and April and May 2015, and cost from €1,479 per person, including flights; seven nights’ hotel accommodation on a bed & breakfast basis; bike hire; transport and the services of a tour leader and driver.

Further afield, Explore’s Cycling Tropical South India is a 15-day, moderate to challenging graded cycling tour in the Indian state of Kerala.Clients will cycle from the historic temples and palaces of Mysore, along the Malabar Coast and enjoy India’s oldest European settlement, Kochi. They will be able to absorb the lush landscapes of the Western Ghats and experience warm Keralan hospitality during the homestay in a local village house and onboard a traditional houseboat. There will also be some time to rest the bikes and unwind on the beautiful beaches of Varkala.

Departing on 8th ExlNovember 2014, this trip costs from €2,441 per person, including flights; 12 nights’ hotel, one night homestay, and one night houseboat accommodation on a bed & breakfast basis; four other meals; bike hire; transport and the services of a driver, local guides and a tour leader.
