Finally, did you know that Germany is also a great country for horses? Racecourses are found in many cities (Berlin, Bremen, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Munich) but also in elegant spa resorts such as Baden-Baden.

Germany’s only Courtly Riding School with museum, historic stables and regular demonstrations is at Bückeburg Castle west of Hannover: . Not far away are the German Horse Museum at Verden () and Lower Saxony’s State Stud () in Celle where regular stallion parades and dressage meetings are held.

In the Münster area, the annual round-up of the wild horses of Dülmen is another spectacle for the horse-loving visitor ().
