Great Value SAA Fares to Malawi

South African Airways (SAA), in association with Malawi Department of Tourism, is offering discounted fares from London to Malawi from £604 return (subject to availability), saving up to £149 on the typical fare.

The year-round, competitive fares include a £604 return flight to Malawi’s Lilongwe International Airport (LLW), saving up to £149, and a £624 return flight to Malawi’s Chileka International Airport (BLZ), saving up to £129.

Travellers can purchase the discounted fares for travel between now and until 13th July 2015, from 19th August to 12th December 2015 and then from 25th December 2015 to 31st March 2016 to experience the animal kingdoms, beautiful natural attractions and unique culture of Malawi.

Lake Malawi

“Malawi is a wonderful destination for those seeking a variety of experiences in a relatively small geographical area,” said Ian Musyani, Malawi High Commission. “Highlights for travellers include Lake Malawi, exotic wildlife, superb landscapes and, of course, our greatest asset: the welcoming and vibrant people of Malawi.”

Serving Malawi’s capital city of Lilongwe, Lilongwe International Airport is an ideal starting point for exploring central Malawi’s Dzalanyama Forest Reserve, known for its unique bird populations, and Senga Bay, the closest point on Lake Malawi where hotels and lodges overlook beaches and a small forest reserve. Chileka International Airport, serving Malawi’s second-largest city of Blantyre, offers travellers access to Mount Mulanje, central Africa’s highest mountain nicknamed ‘the island in the sky’, and the region’s national parks and wildlife reserves.

The national carrier for South Africa, South African Airways offers double daily flights to Johannesburg from London Heathrow Terminal 2, and on to Lilongwe International Airport five times a week.
