Celebrating Canada’s 150th anniversary this year, Christmas in Toronto promises to be a great experience as the festivities reach a crescendo before the year’s end. The city certainly isn’t short of festive attractions and whether visiting on your own, as a couple or with your friends and family, you’ll be spoiled for choice.
Attractions include Toronto’s Christmas Market, which hosts an array of the city’s culinary delights, as well as local arts and crafts. It’s an ideal place to pick up a quirky gift or, for more conventional presents, the Toronto Eaton Centre, Toronto’s premier shopping mall, hosts a wide range of big-name international brands as well as Canada’s treasured favourites.
Nothing is more likely to get you in the Christmas spirit than visiting Casa Loma at this special time of year. To celebrate Christmas, Toronto’s castle is decorated with a spectacular display of lights, Christmas trees and illuminated swans, which are arranged on the frozen pond within the castle’s grounds for the public’s delight.
