Choose Chicago Visits Dublin

With easy access to Chicago from Ireland through Aer Lingus, American Airlines and United, Chicago is one of the favourite US cities for Irish visitors.

At a reception for travel media in the Penthouse, Clarence Hotel, Dublin, on Monday 16th September, Kara Carmichael and Jasmine Rushton from Choose Chicago extolled the many virtues of the Windy City, including new hotel properties with nearly 2,000 rooms that will be added to the downtown stock of more than 36,000 by 2016.

Forthcoming events include Chicago Architecture Foundation’s Open House on 19th – 20th October and the Magnificent Mile Lights Festival on 23rd November, while major events in 2014 will include Chicago Restaurant Week from 24th January – 6th February, the dyeing of the Chicago River green for the St Patrick’s Day Parade on 5th March, and IPW (International Pow Wow) will return to Chicago on 5th – 9th April – after 15 years!
